Feed The Beast #1 (2019)
64 pages, A4 size, English, pro-printed
Interviews
Antiversum, Pentacle, Coscradh, Dead Congregation, Jupiterian, Taphos
After reading the third issue, I need to get Ipp's older issues. Finally, I got the first issue. Printed on thick paper. It starts with 2 pages of picture of Nebula (I think, in black and white).
To compare with the third one, the layout follows the same style which is not a single type is being used here. Every bands has its own type of layout:
Antiversum: black background, 3 columns per page but has this text going around the circle which is quite interesting.
Pentacle: 3 columns per page on grey background and mostly half of the page is huge graphic/artwork
Coscradh: different type of font (like old scripture text) on white background
Dead Congregation: Dark background image, 3 columns per page and have photo that fits to just 1 column.
Jupiterian: still 3 columns but I dont know how to describe the first 2 pages, grey background. The last 2 page is normal 3 columns.
Taphos: back to black background, 3 columns and have 1 page before interview full photo (just like issue 3).
What I forgot to mention in my previous review of issue 3 is no picture of the bands. Just some artwork related to the band/release or maybe not but still blend well with the interviews.
The interviews have it date, so you know when it was made.
No review or articles. Just interviews. Questions doesn't directly on the bands or its releases but also touch on the band's concept or lyrics but ask in interesting way.
And yes, no contact address. The pages not numbered and no table of content.
Pentacle interview is mostly revolving around 1 release only, "Invocations of The Death-ridden" 12" split LP with Sadistik Intent. You are like reading world war history in these pages.
Second one already arrived in Malaysia from Germany. Hope to finish reading it soon and have it updated here.
