Summon The Beast #1 (2018)

Summon The Beast #1 (2018)
68 pages, A4 size, English, pro-printed

Interviews
Nocturnal, Dekapited, Gallower, Pathogen, Minefield Torment, Putrid Evocation, Nuclear Warfare, Incinerator, Oldskull, Hellripper, Savage Deity, Speed Command, Motor, Slaughter Messiah, Verdugo, Hereafter, Hellbreaker, Shambles, Remains

The editor: Supalerk (also the boss of Hell Productions) and me have something in common; we both don't like webzine. But he has a printed zine while I only have this blog, which can be equivalent to a webzine haha. Anyway, we support the scene the best and as honest way we can.

In the flyers said its pro-printed. Laser printer can also give this kind of good excellent quality so not exactly factory printed quality. Thick A4 paper is used and stapled on the side. My last 2 pages fall out. I need to glue them back together. By the way sickness666 made another killer artwork (the front cover for this issue).

The pages not numbered and no table of content. The layout in cut and paste style with some have page border.

Some interviews are long. Close to 30 questions or more. Multiple font types are used. For example, 1 band interview use this type and other use another type so not 1 specific type or size. The editor asked specifically on shitest experience on stage. Funny to read the answers haha . Been a while reading on Malaysian band in zine outside from Malaysia.

Reviews are plenty but music stuffs only. All formats in one section and has the logo of the bands. They are not alphabetically arranged and not rated.

The last 10 pages are filled with flyers. The editor fills up space with flyers too in other pages.

My copy hand-numbered 21/100.

Worship of Eradication Issue 1 (2021)

Worship of Eradication Issue 1 (2021)
52 pages, A4 size, English, pro-printed

Interviews
Kapala, Blasphamagoatchrist, Nocturnal Prayer, Hail Conjurer, Goatblood, Death Worship, Goatholocaust, Vaal, Necrogosto, Baxaxaxa, Prosanctus Inferi

Debut issue from Thailand with front cover drew by Rok of Sadistik Intent. The interviews are still fresh (made in 2019-2020). The layout is very simple 1 column per page with simple frame/border artwork. I am very used to read cramp zine with tiny fonts and lots of pictures, dark background, or cut n paste but this is very relaxing my eyes. Too many empty white spaces and layout are consistent on every page. From the front cover to the content is very 'clean' I must say. I can't remember when the last time was I am having this relax feeling reading a black metal zine. Maybe this is the first one.

The pages are numbered but no table of content. No editorial section though (looking forward reading this section every time in a zine) and no contact address in the zine either so you wouldn't know who's the editor however there is a thank list. The questions are like 10+ on average and not in-depth kind of question but enough to get some info on the bands especially for me that only know Baxaxaxa. No review section though.

Few more issues have been released now. WoE can easily be purchased from their webstore. They are also a label. Check their CD releases as well.

Metalized Blood #1

Metalized Blood #1
50 pg, A4, xerox, English

Interview
Desaster, Los Asesino..., Haemorrhage, Church Bizarre, Anal Vomit, Ironfist, Crucified Mortals, Mar de Grises

A good debut issue. Cut n paste style, like using pictures of women with big breast but no nudity. Just showing the cleavage. Everything looks a bit dark and font size a bit large for me. The pages are numbered but no table of content.

The reviews are split to few sections and covers music & zine. I wonder what is the format of the stuff being reviewed. The sections are:
"Analog Assault" (vinyl?), "Magnetic Attack" (tape?), "Zine Corner" (this one of course zine reviews) and "Digital Command" (CD?). These reviews are not alphabetically arranged and not rated.

The editor has a good English compared with most of Thai zine I've read. Try to get a copy of this zine. I kept on hearing those riffs from Desaster's songs in my ears until I have to play 'Metalized Blood' after doing this review.

Darkness Against Light #4

Darkness Against Light #4
56pg, A5, pro-printed, English

Interview
Black Witchery, Order From Chaos, Bestial Warlust, Arphaxat, Annthennath, Blasphemy, Thy Antichrist, Nocturnal Blood, War Command, Nuclear Hammer, Black Feast, Mitochondrion

The first issue I got was issue #0 (yes, number zero). I got few copies by trading with some metalhead. It was a xerox publication (or photocopied by the people whom I'm traded with). Now having a new issue (not so new now though) I can say there are lots of improvements. Pro-print with some page on white text on black background. Killer!!! Mainly the layout is in cut & paste style. If only the editor stick to all in 'portrait' instead of 'landscape' (I am using the orientation in MS Office as reference here) is much better. No table of content and no page number. Beside the layout, the editor's English also improved. This is the editor who came out with the word 'Goatfather' which later became a song and released as limited edition of 66 copies EP boxset that I have fork out a lot of money to get a copy. There's a lyric of that song here in this zine. There are short interviews with some bands and the questions are related to Blasphemy (the band of course) and lastly the interview answered by the Blasphemy them self. Beside interviews there are live report on "God Beheading Live Ritual 2008" and one gig report contributed by Temple of Adoration Zine on "Under the Black Sun". The editor really shows his anti religion attitude. Face of Buddha in corpse-paint is very blasphemous indeed. This issue comes with an extra sheet consist of Blasphemy full page poster and interview on the other side. I assume this issue was released in 2008 or 2009 judging from the gig report. The new issue already out now. Looking at the pictures uploaded in NWN forum, looks like a good or much better than this issue layout wise. You know what to do. Contact the editor for info on the new issue and asked about this Blasphemy-tribute issue too.

Infernal Demons #9 / You Died #10 (2011)

Infernal Demons #9 / You Died #10 (2011)
68 pg, A4, pro-printed, Englilsh

Interview (Infernal Demon side)
Satanika, Infernal Curse, Denouncement Pyre, Deathraiser, Radioactive Vomit, Raging Steel, Lobotomy

Interview (You Died side)
Wakedead Gathering, Ritual Torture, Adversarial, Winds Of Genocide, Blaspherion, Miasmal, War Master, Maim, Scaremaker, Bastard Priest, Disfigured Dead

Bio (Infernal Demon side)
Funeral Curse, Moshtruction, Riotor, Remains, Exdeth

Bio (You Died side)
Repugnant, Voids Of Vomit

A split zine! Half of this is Infernal Demon zine which is black/thrash related zine and flip on the other side you will have death metal related You Died zine. Infernal Demon page 1-32 and You Died page 33-66. Looking at the bands list, you can guess what are the concept of each zine. Both zines are the work of Jerasak, also the boss of Witchhammer Productions.

After carefully looking at the paper I think this is being printed using laser printer. Whatever it is, not really matter to me. The printing quality are excellent.

Both zine pages are numbered, with table of content of their own. Cut n paste layout with white text on dark background and using frame artwork. All artworks here are by Jerasak himself. Frame artwork by Skulldator and Sickness666. The layout is excellent. Lots of photos are used in the cut n paste background.

Good issue although the interviews are quite average. Beside band bio  I listed above, there are also pornstar bio. Lots nude pictures too. Contact address of the bands compiled in 1 page at the last page of Infernal Demon.

My copy #103/200.

You are asking why a split zine by the same editor? I having the same question too. Send your question to the editor on this and let me know.

Evil Assault #1

64 page, A4, xerox, English

Interview
Metal Savage, Eternal Devastation, Oppression, Nunslaughter, Witchaven, Infernal Demon Zine, Victimizer, Bloodthirst, Evil Army, Ironfist, Darkness Against Light Zine

They surely proud having their vinyl signed by Tom. You can assumed that after looking at the front cover of this zine. This debut issue is very different compared with other zine that I have read from Siam. The editor English is as good as mine hehe. What we have here is a cut n paste xerox publication with an OK xerox quality. Some pictures are a bit dark though but that is just a matter of personal taste. The interviews can be made better I guess but I think they will improve that in their next issue. For example question about band bio, most band dont like this question though. You can see some band's respond to this question, not really a friendly one. Surely there are other creative way to get it. The zine is thick, due to the large font used here (postage can be saved here). Being a cut n paste format, some more pictures/graphic can be used for the background. The inner front/back cover, have this cool picture collage of Thai (probably) metalheads as well as Gezol performing on stage which you can see some of his testicle haha. No table of content but the page are numbered... in Thai! Nevertheless, its still a good read. I have no doubt, there will be some progression for the next issue. I got this copy from Domain Zine distro. Syaiful might have some copies left (if paypal is your payment mode). For you that want to buy the snail mail way, please contact the editor for address.
