Caveat! Issue XI-XV (March 2021)

Caveat! Issue XI-XV (March 2021)
100 pages, A4 size, English, pro-printed

Interviews
Hyperdontia, Eliran Kantor, Gorb, Cryptworm, Gasp, Sauts Alastor, Frozen Soul, Amy Hamdan, Disfear, An Albatross, Exhumation, Aten Athirah, The Infernal Sea, Necrot, Discarnage, Vengeance By Proxy, Ruin, Witchgrind, Karmazid, Begrabnis, Lavatory, -(16)-, Ady Shutterscream, Skepticism,  Varmt Stal Helvete, Iron Monkey

Couple of months later, came another issue of this [Mega]zine. I counted like more than 10 contributors now. Excellent work I must say. The size now A4 with the pages in glossy paper (105 gsm Matte Art Paper, to be exact). Cover is on 230 gsm with Matte Lamination in perfect binding. Yes, it sounds like a book because it is a book.

The content is in full colored, layout 3 columns per page mostly with text on pictures in the background. With color, those featuring visual artist with their artwork looks a lot better compared with the previous issue. The front cover artwork made by the editor himself.

The long editorial section (with the editor's picture) is still here. I almost mistaken this as band's interview page because it has logo and photo on the page. Just like normal interview page.

The content pretty much similar like previous issue. Interviews (with bands and visual artist), articles, artwork/drawing, poems, comics ("Issue & Tissue" still here. Another good topic shown again), artworks and this time around they added reviews section called "Audiophiles Transmission" (not in alphabetical order, not rated, and all have their front cover artwork).

I just knew that Nintendocore is another music genre. Oh my... Anyway, visual artist interviews quite interesting for me since I am not use to read this type of interviews. Learnt few things here.

Mine handnumbered 157/500.

Check out also his label Dogma Artistic Guerrilla. The advertisement at the back cover says Cosmic Hell Pariah tape is only RM1 (USD 1 R.O.W).

Caveat! The Recollection: Vol II - Vol. X (August 2020)

Caveat! The Recollection: Vol II - Vol. X (August 2020)
172 pages, A5 size, English, pro-printed

Interviews
Black Hole Of Calcutta, Trenches, Funeral Moth, Discordance Axis, Gridlink, Ieon, The Locust, Homerun, Kecik Pusak, Sete Star Sept, Malak, Black September, Electric Moon, True, Retox, Always Last, Gaerea, Jerk Kerouac, Veer, Atomicdeath, Megaton Leviathan, Darsombra, IV V I IV, Kid Ginseng, Dum Dum Tak, Tortuga, Wormrot, [Speaks], Retortion Terror, Mournful Congregation, Arifullah Ali, Rotworks, Singular, 625 Thrashcore, Devourer Of Light, Napalm Death, Repulsive Regurgitation, Andrei Bouzikov, Nryy, Justin Bartlett, Despise You, Generation Fuck You, Rob Middleton, Esoteric, Cosmic Hell Pariah, Dragged Into Sunlight, Spyder 45, Dogma Artistic Guerrilla

This is zine is really interesting. The editor: Zach Neurotic, his team and contributors did great job here. Not just it gathers bands from various genre (metal & non-metal) but also 'visual artist' which you can see their artwork as well.

You can call it a book by looking at the thickness, but it doesn't matter to me what this is called. He mentioned about one volume will consist of 5 interviews. The editorial section is very long. 1 full page with small font size.

So, this 9 volumes book will have 45 interviews + 3 additional interviews. 48! That's massive. And still the price is USD 15 PPD. The interviews here made from 2006 to 2020. The list of bands based on the year interviewed is there in the editorial.

He uses offset printing. The layout varies. Some normal 2 columns per page in black background, others made to look like cut n paste or with background pictures. You never get bored with only looking at the pages. The pages are numbered and have table of content.

The interviews have a little introduction (name, genre, country and date interview) before the questions starts. Questions vary from band to band. Some bands got more questions. This might have to do to with certain contributor's style. The contributors are Aku Napie, Pijan, Redo, M. Farez, Arifullah Ali, Kecik Pusak, Naiveslave, Man Dugong, Ann Everton, Brian Daniloski, Riz Morales, Ikan Patin. The bands are from HC, grind, rock, doomgaze, death to black metal. Some bands answered very long to a short question (I like this).

No review though. Other contents are poems (in Malay), some articles and "Issue & Tissue" comics (more like motivation/positive attitude reminder in form of comics).

Zach's Dogma Artistic Guerrilla interview on the last pages of this issue is actually his own interview by Degradant Zine from Russia. His answers when asked about certain things in Malaysia was very, very long.

Repulsive Regurgitation Zine's interviews has all the info on his releases and the front covers. Shit! Some issues are printed in more than 500 copies, but I failed to get some of that thick zine. But other answers not sure it’s a serious one or a joke.

This is also coming with CD randomly picked by the distributor Dogma Artistic Guerilla HQ.

I missed out Recollection I. Hope I can get it somewhere.

Mine is hand-numbered 72/200.
