This zine have some interesting chat even with those short questions (thanks to the bands). Not to mention the xerox quality are excellent. But the layout totally fails in my opinion. Too simple and looks very dull which not suppose to happen in year 2013. Even using MS Word can produce better output than this. The zine have no page number and no table of content.

The reviews are rated out of 5 (for album) and they are not alphabetically arranged. They also have book review section.

The editor, Jonathan Lozo is assisted by 7 contributors and they are here for the long run. They offer subscription (you can ask more details from them). This zine is available for $4 per issue which each issue 150 copies print run.

I hope they can evolve to something better to near future.

This is last issue of Morbid Tales xerox era. I think I finished reading all of them in few hours. This issue is limited 350 copies but not hand-numbered. I just knew about the print-run of the older issues which are not limited to any quantity. They put back Montreal Record Shop Guide Summer 2006 and with map (last seen this guide in #2). Still in the traditional cut n paste style, well-arranged of text n good use of space. Reviews are all computer text (no more logo). Audio reviews mentioned by Satannick are mostly from her own collection which means the stuff she like listening to and of course getting good reviews. All reviews have their front cover. Other contents for this issue are 'News From The Grave' this time instead of 'Morbid News'. 6 gig reports and small section on 'Canadian Fanzine Attack'. Having completed reading all the issues, issue #6 can't be compared with the rest because #6 has improvement in all aspects. Avid zine collector can add these issues in your collection.

A news section has been added called 'Morbid News' and also zine review section (webzine being reviewed too). Reviews by Annick are in the same style (not rated, hand-drawn logo and not as detailed as #3). The last 2 pages don’t have any title on them but I think its BMJ's reviews. These reviews are with smaller fonts this time but still the reviews are short and they are all cramped into 2 pages including the front cover. Lots of old stuff here included some from 1986. Lots of gig being reviewed (total 5 gig reports). Interviews by Satannick black text on white background while BMJ white on black background. Satannick's is much more in-depth. BMJ's interviews are a bit hard to read due to small font size (smaller than #3).

The zine is getting bigger (thicker), just like butt on the back cover. Font sized reduced and interviews are longer so there are more to read. BMJ font size increased a bit which is good for the eyes of the readers. A very long Sabbat live report and Sacrifice interview (phone interview) with Gus Pyann. No more hand-drawn band logo for the gig reports like you can see from the previous issues. There are more review of Canadian bands which is great and  the track by track review by Satannick is a good read. Some lines on top of the page are missing just like the debut issue. Also adding to the thickness for this issue is Alberta Metal Scene report made by Witching Black Records. Releasing 3 issues a year is quite an achievement for me although in cut n paste style you tend to waste space.

Now I realized there's another person beside Satannick in this zine; Black Metal Joe @ BMJ. I blamed this to lost text (text near the edge of the paper looks like being cut, probably printing/photocopying error) and no proper introduction. In the review section where I mentioned 'no name for this section' in issue #1 is actually the works of BMJ. I thought it was an old-school tribute page. Some improvement that can be seen here is better printing and photocopying quality. Pictures are clearer than before. The pages are numbered but no table of content. Still in cut n paste style. In Toxic Holocaust interview the text were cut 'line by line'. Lot of time spent there but the interview are quite boring to read. Questions for Tinieblas are short too but they manage to answer it interestingly. Also it is quite interesting to mention here Gezol contributed 1 question for the Anvil interview. Satannick & BMJ have their own review section but they both reviewed Cutthroat 'Anal Elec...' with different opinion. Like the first issue, on Satannick reviews the band's name & title are hand-written/drawn. Some are kinder garden-like drawing. Lastly not to forget, for the shop review section, 'Montreal Record Shop review', reviews the shops in Montreal for this issue. It can be outdated if reading it by the time this review is up.

After I published the review for #6, I noticed the back issues are still available. I bought right away this "Megapack" of 5 issues from The Basar North America. The decision to get older issues is to check whether it’s justified to end the zine at #6. If you want to end something, you must make the final output as great as you can then you can die happily! Like Morbid Tales, #6 is best compared with the older issues on many things. This issue was made in cut n paste style and very dark zine (print/xerox quality are too dark but you can still read it). The editorial and gig reports are hand-written. At the edge of the paper, some sentences can’t be read in full because some words are missing. It will take hours to make that Impaler interview and also reading it because the answer was cut n paste line by line and they are not all in straight line (I need to be focused here). The pages are numbered but no table of content. Album reviews are rated with 80's stuffs compiled in 1 section. No zine review but there is review of metal shops called "Morbid Guide for Music Shops", mostly in Ontaria. There are cartoons and some caption on the pictures which is funny to read. This is a 40 pages issue, looks thick but you can finish this in few minutes.

One of the zine which I look forward to have because of many good words about the zine but I waited too long so the get sold out from the editor (1000 copies printed!). I manage to get a copy from a distro but at extra $. Not much to say on the layout or the visual aspect of the zine. Look very old-school and professional at the same time. The page numbered and have table of content. Mostly the layout is 3 column per page with some page have frame artwork. The font type really give the ancient look, very "old-school" feeling (add that with interviews with old bands). Excellent job on the visual aspect.

Same goes with the interviews, good and interesting chat. "Special feature" for Darkthrone is good too (with covers from demo till present release) as well as non-music question being asked. About reviews, reviews are not rated, some have artwork cover but mostly have band's logo on the reviews. "Under The Blade" is the section called for audio stuff (CD,LP, EP) and ofcourse, there's also reviews on fanzine & demo. Beside the usual interview/review, there's also section called "Metal Tourist Guide" which feature metal store or pub to go on your vacation. In this issue you have info about London, Prague, France and Montreal. Another interesting read is the 2 pages by Orlok (Countess), his tour memory with Barathrum/Sabbat.

In addition of metal music, flip upside down and start from the back there's another extra 13 page Hell Bent for Cooking "cookzine". This is another reason I wanted to have this zine. Not that I like cooking but "cookzine" + metalzine do not sound normal for me. So members of Goat Horn, Desolation of Angel, Barbatos, Toxic Holocaust, Countess, Ogre, Master, Anvil, Killers, The Gates of Slumber, Impaler, Elixir, warpig, Nailgunner, Debris Inc., The Lamb of Thoth, Gravewurm, Dan Beehler (ex-Exciter), Reverend Bizarre, Holocausto and Pilediver (have I miss any name??) shared some of their recipe. Ofcourse, the name of some of the meal have been "metalized" such as Macaroni Against Monotheism for example. Quite hillarious, looking at the 'chef' and the meal. The last page have some info about the bands contributed for the cookzine. If there's issue #7, would be interesting to know what Shyaithan of Impiety would want us to cook.

Some note from the editorial page, the editor (Annick) will change address. Editor also mention #6 will be the last issue or have a long break before #7 is out, to concentrate on other projects and band, Cauchemar. You already know she a cookbook out, right?
