A little bit off than the usual release month. The reviews are short now. Ear Pleasure is only 1 part (in #4, there are 3 parts) but there are more gore movies reviews this time. The rest are pretty much the same like the older issues except in the news section the font size are too small than normal.

This is last issue of Morbid Tales xerox era. I think I finished reading all of them in few hours. This issue is limited 350 copies but not hand-numbered. I just knew about the print-run of the older issues which are not limited to any quantity. They put back Montreal Record Shop Guide Summer 2006 and with map (last seen this guide in #2). Still in the traditional cut n paste style, well-arranged of text n good use of space. Reviews are all computer text (no more logo). Audio reviews mentioned by Satannick are mostly from her own collection which means the stuff she like listening to and of course getting good reviews. All reviews have their front cover. Other contents for this issue are 'News From The Grave' this time instead of 'Morbid News'. 6 gig reports and small section on 'Canadian Fanzine Attack'. Having completed reading all the issues, issue #6 can't be compared with the rest because #6 has improvement in all aspects. Avid zine collector can add these issues in your collection.

A news section has been added called 'Morbid News' and also zine review section (webzine being reviewed too). Reviews by Annick are in the same style (not rated, hand-drawn logo and not as detailed as #3). The last 2 pages don’t have any title on them but I think its BMJ's reviews. These reviews are with smaller fonts this time but still the reviews are short and they are all cramped into 2 pages including the front cover. Lots of old stuff here included some from 1986. Lots of gig being reviewed (total 5 gig reports). Interviews by Satannick black text on white background while BMJ white on black background. Satannick's is much more in-depth. BMJ's interviews are a bit hard to read due to small font size (smaller than #3).

"Transylvanian Underground Black Metal Zine" starts the zine with the editor name the bands that didn't answer their interview in their editorial. Nice way to ‘promote’ those bands.

Interviews are good but don't quite understand why such questions being asked to D.O.G. Anyway that is quite hilarious for me. The layout is very clean. 3 columns per page with background image and 'separator' between the columns. Lot of pictures and small fonts size. So there are lots of reading and lots of eye candy to prevent you from asleep. Thumbs up on the layout!

The reviews; CD/LP review in 1 section and tape/cdr/7" in different section. Both are not alphabetically arranged and not rated.

One thing I think quite unusual. When open the zine you see the same cover inside the zine before the editorial start. You can see the whole artwork when you spread out the zine like you can see above. Actually after I bought this issue, I found the link to download issue #1 in some forum. So comparing with the previous issue, they are using the same concept (cover design) and layout.

Excellent xerox quality on thick paper. Pages are numbered ('Putrid 1, Putrid 2' and so on) but no TOC. No waste of space because flyers is used to fill them up and they are nicely arranged. Layout-wise, some cut n paste style but mostly done using computer with some pages used background image. On 1 interview with black text on dark background (is that Diego Maradona?) that is a bit hard to read but good thing is it is in a language I don’t understand. For some reason, Mortal Decay interview are numbered, start with 20 and ends with 1. I thought it was a typo error at first. Most of the content are in English but gig report are in French. Reviews only cover audio stuff and not rated but got detail on year, number of tracks, length and label. Quite an effort there! I bought this zine from some distro. Unfortunately no contact address written in the zine.

I bought issue 4 to 6 first from 1 mailorder distro (forgot the name). Later I found another distro selling #3 and I bought it too. I waited until I have all issues and then start reading from issue #3. Ofcourse I will get #3 earlier if I know they feature MANTAK (Malaysian band that I respect a lot) in it.

The editor, Seigneur, care to put a table of content (with band's genre and country in it) eventhough the zine is not that thick. Interview questions are around 11 ot 13 only and they are short and easy question. No introduction, just straight to interview. About the layout, 1 column per page or 2 columns and he used are lots of pictures, a good way to balance up the small amount of interviews.

Reviews only cover audio (CD & demo) and DVD and no zine review. They are not rated and not arranged in alphabetical order.

I find it a displeasure (I'm old!) reading on the part where he put picture in the middle of the paragraph because it breaks the line and you can lost track on which line to continue.

Good xerox quality but you can finish reading the whole issue in no time.

After reading issue #4, I contacted Flo and bought issue 2 to 6. The debut issue no longer available. Sigh. Cool if can read the complete discography and see how the zine progress. Flo was 17 years old when completing this issue. Cut n paste style ofcourse, but the pictures quality are not sharp enough though. The font for the interview is too big for my liking. The interview I'm looking forward to read is Toxic Holocaust but the answer is too short. Reviews are separated to few parts and for audio review they are rated from 0 to 10. The editor really show his hatred to black metal in this issue. There's a picture of some 'panda' black metal folk with the quote "where's my toilet paper?". It's funny for some but some might get pissed off.

I never read a pro-printed underground newsletter before except for Necrovassago newsletter in 1996. Kult looking cut n paste layout but no news? I thought newsletter should have news hehe. Well, there is a few in form of flyers. Just 3 interviews but really entertaining especially with Devil Lee Rot of Pagan Rites and Messiah. Only 2 pages on reviews and all (audio stuff and zine) are mixed together. The first thing I do before reading this newsletter is counting how many cunt they put on the cover page. Is it 25? Damned! I couldn't get the same amount in every count. They also have a contest called "Cuntest" where they put on some lyrics and you guess what song is that lyrics is from and you must send a picture of you holding that release. Wow. That's original! Since it's a "newsletter", I can't complain on the small amount of content in this issue. This newsletter is handle by Carlos (Kuravilu Prod) & Slaughter (Morbid Tale Zine) and they did a good job for this issue. My copy are hand-numbered 208.
