Deadbanger #3 (2010)
Deadbanger #3 (2010)
44 pg, A5, pro-printed, English
Interview
Nigro Mantia, Pagan Rites, Hideous Invasion, Resistance, Horned Almighty, The Crypt Records, Black Wreath, Killtown Death Fest, Anal Vomit
A very interesting interview made with Nigro Mantia. I hailed the editor for the research made for this band. Very obscure band. They only release 1 demo but the editor managed to make the interview very interesting and informative even though the response is not a satisfactory one from the band (Michael) due to memory lost. There are some reviews of audio stuffs and zine (not arranged in alphabetically and not rated) but of course you know reviews are not the highlight of this zine. Layout is in the same style like previous issue. Latest check before I upload this review, issue #3 is still available and issue #4 should be out this month (April 2011). I suggest you can this issue while it is still available!

Deadbanger #2 (2009)
Deadbanger #2 (2009)
48 pg, A5, pro-print, English
Interview
Agony Bag, Ancient Darkness Productions, Demona, Battery, Speedwolf, BlackOath, Gravsorg, Altar of Oblivion, Pugnacity, Deus Otiosus, Vault, Cerekloth, Undergang, Artillery
When I asked them for issue #1 (after receiving paper flyer), they informed me it’s already sold-out. Not so lucky on the debut issue but I managed to get a copy of issue #2 from some distro. This issue was made in 300 copies but already sold-out now. So what will you miss? The layout of the zine is very neat and simple using 2 columns per page, complete with page number and table of content. Good content especially the one with Artillery (very long answer by all band members). There are also some gig reviews, which is quite detailed review of the band performed. Interviewing the label about the band being featured here is new to me. For example, just after interview with BlackOath ended, it continues with Horror Records interview about BlackOath. Another new thing for me is looking at the very little amount reviews (the debut issue was even lesser, as said in the editorial) which consist of 2 page demo, 2 page zine and half page for album, accompany with the front cover artwork.
Deadbanger is also a label.
