ORGAN Fanzine "Issue #1"

ORGAN Fanzine "Issue #1" (BOOK)

120-page, perfect bound book! Everything was hand-drawn/written in an old school cut n' paste style!

Organ fanzine is the physical waste deposit of 2 midwest dipshits who suffer from obsessive visions of horror, visions of endless torrents of blood and gore, visions of cinematic barbarism transfixed within a nauseating vortex of undead soldiers of satan waging war with guitars and venomous forked tongues, never-

fuckin'-ending visions that transform their already unstable reality into an all out blood orgy of neck snapping, fist pumping, homicidal lunacy!!!! That and super cool comics and buxom babes smothered in a lot of blood...

Organ is cry for help, a plea if you will to join their Cult Of Gore. They are possessed by death and obsessed with gore and they want you to come fuckin die with 'em. This blood tome is saturated in interviews with metal purveyors Impetigo, Asphyx, Undergang, Nocturnal, Grave Upheaval, Cianide, Morbus Chron and Denial, a chat with Mike Minnet of Bad Taste and Mike Howlett, the author of The Weird World Of Eerie Publications book, literally a fuck ton of horror/exploitation write ups including a Coffin Joe and Tim Ritter spotlight, metalhead artist profiles, insane horror comics, nerd anecdotes of the lurking past then throw in a gaggle of numskulls that love Jap Hardcore, Conan The Barbarian rip-offs and throwin' loads to Amber Lynn for like.. over 2 decades!!

and just when you think the sleaze maelstrom has ceased you-are-dead-fuckin-wrong! there's even more weird diseases to contract you've never even heard of, WOW!!! Pick up this 'zine and be a buddy or worst enemy.

Anvil #4 (2004)

Anvil #4 (2004)

84 pg, pro-print, English

Interview
The Amentia, 3 Inches of Blood, Dead To Fall, Slayer, Atrocity, Entombed, Malevolent Creation, Nocturnal, Phazm, Pig Destroyer, Razorbacks Records, Polterchrist, Vader

This is the final issue that I got. Suddenly I remembered there is another Magazine called DOA which also 'formerly known as SOD Magazine" which I haven't own yet. Hopefully I can get some (used) copies like Anvil. Email me if you want to get rid of your DOA.

Anvil #3 (2004)

Anvil #3 (2004)

84 pg, pro-print, English

Interview
Mayhem, Satyricon, Infinite Hate, Dismember, Death Angel, Krieg, Exodus, Suffocation, Vicious, Acheron

Krieg answer the longest and the most entertaining interview for this issue. I spotted one changes in this issue: the review of latest release is placed right after the band's interview. Everything else is just like the previous issue (layout, etc).

Cool to know a Christian radio invited Acheron, Deicide (as mentioned by Vincent) and debate about religion in their show. Wondering there are any foul, vulgar words or swearing involved in the show.

Anvil #2 (2004)

Anvil #2 (2004)

84 pg, A4, pro-print, English

Interview
Probot, Dimmu Borgir, Cannible Corpse, Devil Driver, Deicide, Ravenous, E-Force, Horned God, Killaman, Macabre, Necrodeath, Serial Butcher

I bought second-hand copies of issue #2, #3 and #4 from a Sabahan metal head in facebook. The front cover is too cool for not to be featured in here.

The official website link is no longer valid. Beside knowing this magazine is formerly known (or made by the same people) as Sound Of Death magazine or better known as S.O.D Magazine but still curious to know why creating a new one.

Anyway, the layout, the style of interview and reviews are just like SOD Magazine except (if I remember it right) this magazine is in color. The reviews are rated with skull, David Horn still starts his questions with "Tell me...", wickedly priced at $6.66 and ofcourse comes with free CD. There is a full page Konqueror Records advertisement here. I wonder whether this is Singaporean label still exist.

Not much to say about this "The Unholy Bible of Extreme Metal" really if you are familiar with SOD Mag. The interviews differ from each contributor. This magazine do looks great with lots of blood red pages like that Ravenous picture but I think need a bit of creativity in layout.

The next reviews will be a lot shorter since I don’t see any obvious changes from each issue.
