Das Panoptikum des Gravens (25 pages)
Lieve Gemeinde

The layout is not the fancy type of magazine layout. It looks more like a small book. Printed on glossy paper. Just normal 2 columns (for interview and zine reviews) and 3 columns for music reviews. But these are on grey background image so it doesn't look dull and boring.

The fonts are really small and the edge/border of paper is less than 1 centimeter. Meaning you are reading more than 140 pages of A5 if using the normal size fonts. That's a lot to read in an issue.

Only if I understand German.

Music reviews (tape & CD) are separated to multiple sections. I can't figure out how the stuffs is being categorize or selected in these sections. The sections are "Headbangers Heaven", "Headbangers Hell".

Oh, and then it continues with Fanzine reviews, DVD review and Leserattennest before continue again music reviews in "Headbangers Stuff".

And lastly another music review in "Perlen var dia Säve" (can find some vinyl here).

The reviews very long but the fanzine reviews are even longer. Half page is just for 1 zine.

The "Das Panoptikum des Gravens" is a very long read. 25 pages on this alone.

G.U.C stands for German Underground Crossection. I got this old issue for free (pay postage only from schattenmanns.wordpress.com) so I think it is good to add in my site.

Besides being a magazine, it is also a label. The website link written in the mag not working anymore. If not, I wanted to check their latest updates.

Argyope Issue #14 (2018)

Argyope Issue #14 (2018)
24 pages, A5, English/French, xerox

Interviews
Hellfire & Deadhead Magazine

A free newsletter project from France. Very basic layout style, no columns, no page number, but has lot of pictures related to the band/mag interviewed.

The introduction/foreword from editor is on the front page written in French. The (long) introduction before the interview starts is in French.

Less than 20 questions are asked, and some are just 1 line question only but enough to get long answer. Deadhead could write a book!

Those who don't know, Deadhead is from Malaysia and Hellfire is from China. Only interviews though. No reviews or news.

I think will not be hard to translate those. Use OCR software or snap picture and let Google translate. Hah! Sounds easy. I'll try it after this.

This is available for free (you only pay the postage). Some of the distro might have this are Schattenmanns Publishing or Destruktor Records mailorder.

No contact address available in the newsletter. Found email address somewhere from the internet.

Earlier in May 2021, Zizi Amri released his maiden issue. And now just after 3 months in my hands his second issue!

Still in A5 size, pro-printed, perfect-bind format however (with some assistance of fellow contributors Ason UDZ & Ibn Khaldun) this issue is nearly 200 pages thick.

Table of content is present however the pages are not numbered just like the previous issue. Layout-wise looks like the debut issue; 2 columns per page, some uses those typewriter type of fonts giving some old school look, small font size, and no space is being wasted. This issue again packed with texts, pictures and artworks.

All is great in the layout, except on the interviews where he put picture in middle in between the 2 pages. It doesn't look well visually. The picture/logo can't be seen in full.

Beside interviews you will have:
Chain of Khaos (news section, with label's/band's info)
Proof of Existence (like bio with short interviews made into article form; Azgarath, Huthamah)
Audio of Khaos (music/zine review section. Reviews not alphabetically arranged, not rated with front cover included)

Unfortunately, this issue already sold-out in less than a week. Only 120 copies were made and mine is numbered #16 of 120 copies of the 1st edition. However, you can ask for digital copy for small amount of money. Editor also selling some defect copies at a cheap price but didn't mention what are the defects.
