Article
The History of The Beginning of Extreme Metal in Uruguay

I came across a paper flyer of this zine when I bought some zine. Then I send out email to the editor, Federico, asking for some info on the zine and issues available for sale. Unfortunately all issues sold out from the editor however I managed to bought one issue from some distro. Earlier in the distro list also list issue 5 but that one sold out when I asked for stocks availability so I have to settle with issue 6.

And yes, this is the first Uruguayan zine in Bloodstained Vision!

To-date (in 2021), 6 issues was released. The zine created only to expose Uruguayan bands mixing those from the old times, some underground one and few newer bands. I copied these info from the email on the issues released:

#1 - includes Interviews with ACIDO,KARKADAM,ARCANUS,KARNAGE,PUTREFAXION, and some reviews.

#2 - CHOPPER,NECROPOLYS/THY DOMINION, interview w/Ernesto Sclavo, interviewer from the time who put out a metal documentary on TV during the 90s, BEELZEBUB,CILICIO, few reviews.

#3 - ANGKOR VAT, DEFORME, CONSTRICTOR, PHERETRUM, some reviews

#4 - ALVACAST,INNER SANCTUM, MARCA ACME/ATROZER, MAGNA, reviews

#5 - GRAF SPEE, OSSUARY, DARKESTHRASH, EXSTINCTIO, PANDEMONIUM, MYTHICUS, reviews

#6 - DELIRIUM TREMENS, MORBID BLOOD, SADICA, BEATRIZ CARNICERO, TOL SIRION, The History of Extreme Metal in Uruguay (by Victor Rueda-GRAF SPEE), how the fuk did we get here? (article by Hugo Gutierrez-LA SANGRE DE VERONIKA, reviews

#7 - some day will be out...

The layout cut n paste style and it uses the actual type writer. Haven't seen this kind of format in years. total ancient classic format made in era of socmed.

No table of content but list of bands is printed on the front page. Date of the interview is stated. Most are made in 2018. Most probably interview originally made in Spanish & then translated to English. This is why the interview is very long and very interesting especially with the older bands than existed since the 90's. My suspicion is confirmed in "Necrologias" (the news section that is "the news that no longer news"). In here it also mention the zine is also made in Spanish version but cant no longer continue as it is exhaustive do make it with typewriter (very tiring typing I think. I hope I interpret it right).

Local gig reports and reviews also available seems to be mixed together (in "Morgue"). They are not separated into individual sections. The reviews are not rated, and not alphabetically arranged. There are also few zine reviews.

Two articles written here, the one is on Uruguay Rock titled "How the Fuck We Get There".

There is 1 full page of artwork made by facudeleon2010 at gmail dot com. Issue 6 close with contact addresses of bands/zine/labels and their logo or front cover).

The xerox quality can be better. However, Terasing zine from Malaysia have the permission to re-copy the issue and this version has the best xerox quality compared with the one I have.
